JOURNALS

The alphabetical list of journals serves two purposes. The first purpose is the same as the purpose served by Cabells Predatory Reports, namely as a database of journals whose legitimacy is more or less questionable and should be checked for ethical publishing practice before submission of an article. A big difference between this list and Cabells list is that this one is free for everyone while Cabells list is available only to institutions, not to individual scholars or the wider public, and its subscription price is daunting.

The second purpose is to drive all so-called predatory publishers to extinction by starving them of customers, hence of revenue. This will be explained in full shortly. For now I only want to get the list onto the site. At present the number of journals listed exceeds 14 000.
This will be increased and regularly updated.
